The application period for the 'Website of the Year' 2025 digital competition has ended!

However, for the applicants, the competition is not over yet; the public voting is still ongoing, during which candidates can mobilize their followers and community until January 15, 2026, to win the audience award. Vote for your favorite in the 'Website of the Year' competition by January 15!

In recent months, numerous innovative websites, applications, and digital developments have been presented, the high standard of which poses a significant challenge to the jury, as the competition is extremely strong and diverse. Among this year’s nominations, there are many projects that demonstrate outstanding performance in technological innovation, design, and user experience.

Particularly noteworthy is this year’s new category, “Every business should have its own website,” for which eight applications have been received so far. This special category associated with the Sándor Demján Program supports the digital development of Hungarian micro and small enterprises. The submitted entries exemplify that a professionally designed, user-friendly website is now an essential tool for the growth, visibility, and customer acquisition of businesses. Good news for participating businesses, is that those who applied under the program but have not yet completed their website by December 15 may still submit their nominations for the “Every business should have its own website” category until December 31, 2025. By extending this deadline, our aim is to provide as many businesses as possible the opportunity to showcase the results of the program and for newly completed websites to compete in the 'Website of the Year' 2025 competition.

“This year's 'Website of the Year' competition clearly demonstrated that artificial intelligence is no longer just a technological curiosity, but a natural part of digital thinking. The strongest applications emerged where AI was not presented as a self-serving element, but created real, tangible value for users and supported business decisions. The applicants showed a mature digital mindset, increasingly consciously building on data-driven solutions, user-friendly interfaces, and intelligent automation. All of this indicates that the domestic digital sector not only follows but also shapes international trends. The digital future is not loud and flashy, but smart, human-centered, and fast.” – this is how István László Varga, the founder of the competition, evaluated this year.

The popularity of the categories follows the trends of previous years: the 'E-commerce' (20), 'Service' (23), and 'B2B' (16) websites once again attracted the largest number of entries. Additionally, a fierce competition is expected in the Brand Site (14), 'App of the Year' (12), and 'Commerce' (11) categories as well.

Fanni Demjén, the project leader of the competition, highlighted while evaluating the year 2025:
“The nominations clearly show that digital presence is no longer just an aesthetic matter, but a strategic tool for businesses. The applicants placed great emphasis on user experience, transparent structures, and functionalities that support business goals. The nominations for the year 2025 prove that the domestic digital community is mature, collaborative, and open to innovation.”

The award ceremony will take place on March 4, 2026, within the framework of the Digital Marketing Forum, where we will announce the winners of the 'Website of the Year' 2025. We will soon provide further details and information about the program.

We would like to sincerely thank our nominees for their trust and participation, and wish them good luck in the next stage of the competition!
